SMS Terms and Conditions

1. Company / Brand Name

Last updated: March 1, 2024. DEAC, also known as “Digitālās Ekonomikas Attīstības Centrs” Ltd, registration number 40003455216, legal and actual address: Čuibes street 17, Riga LV-1063 (hereinafter referred to as the “DEAC”), provides myDEAC Digital Cloud Space (, which is a cloud-based platform.

2. Description of the campaign

A campaign subscriber is a myDEAC user who registers in the myDEAC Digital Cloud Space and is verified through a mobile phone, using the OTP code received in the text message. Once the mobile phone number is verified, the user individually chooses to receive various alerts and urgent/critical notifications. DEAC aims to use a Low Volume Mixed campaign use case consisting mainly of 2FA, account notifications, customer service and delivery notification use cases. Consent is stored in the on-premise database only as long as the user deletes his profile. The amount of monthly messages will vary depending on the user’s notification settings, alerts and alerts received.

3. Message Frequency

The frequency of messages varies depending on the settings in the user’s myDEAC profile.

4. Pricing disclosure

myDEAC charges extra for sending or receiving text messages. MSG and data rates may also apply from the user’s carrier. DEAC does not charge for SMS: verification codes or password resets.

5. SMS opt-in

By choosing SMS alerts, the user agrees to receive a verification code from myDEAC, alerts about the service the user is using, and other notifications that may be sent by the automatic telephone dialing system. In addition, the user confirms that he is at least 18 years old and gives his consent to send and receive text messages under these Terms and Conditions.

6. SMS opt-out

The user can opt out of receiving warnings about the services used and other notifications sent to the user’s phone number in the Dashboard » Monitoring section of his myDEAC account. The user can stop texting at any time by replying “STOP” with their mobile device. After opting out, the user will not receive any further messages unless they opt-in again.

8. Frequency

The frequency of messages varies depending on the settings in the user’s myDEAC profile.

9. Main types of SMS

  • Verification code (6 character code) for registration or password change;
  • Alerts with information about the status of services used by the user, for example, how much disk space is left in the virtual machine.

10. Privacy of Mobile Device Users

DEAC confirms that users’ mobile phone numbers will not be shared or used for purposes other than those specified in this section. To view the myDEAC Privacy Policy, open the link here.

11. Mobile warranty

myDEAC will not be responsible for any delay in the receipt of text messages related to the myDEAC SMS gateway. The delivery of SMS text messages depends on the user’s wireless service provider/network operator.
